Trojan Cafe BBQ Lunch!

The University High School’s Culinary Arts department hosts a lunch for the community several times throughout the semester to practice their skills and interact with the community. These high schoolers are getting an excellent education and exposure to running a restaurant. They learn, plan, prepare, cook, serve, and interact with customers in their mock-restaurant at University High School!

Let’s get together and eat, while supporting these great KIDS!

Please join us for Texas BBQ on Thursday, April 18th for lunch at the Trojan Cafe of University High School

• House smoked brisket & sausage with a honey chipotle BB sauce
• South Texas Creamed Corn
• Mustard Potato Salad
• Braised Collard Greens
• Texas Lime Pie in a Pecan Crust with Blackberry Coulis and Chantilly Cream ($5)

This lunch is $16 and open to the public, so RSVP as soon as possible. If you’ll buy your lunch, we’ll pay for your dessert!

Holt Kelly, our board president, will be hosting: “As a longtime supporter of this program, I am always more than happy with the quality of the food and on more than one occasion had enough to take home for a second meal. The desert is worth the price of the meal. Yes, $16 is pricey for lunch, but remember you are supporting a program that is giving the kids an invaluable real-world education.
